Transparent Trend Created by Internet

Blog using is popular among the Internet world nowadays and blogs provide various functions for users, such as article posting, album and video sharing. Taking Wretch, the most famous blog website in Taiwan, for example, its most renowned function among people is the album. The usage of real albums is to store people’s memories; while the albums of Wretch, combining the effect of Internet, add another function of spreading people’s interpersonal relationships. People get knowing others who supposedly were not been known by the connecting nets freely. This kind of interaction between people shows a fresh social value in this generation. It seems that people tend to make themselves transparent towards others.
On the Internet, people share their lives and feelings openly and make friends with strangers; yet blogs and net-albums are only part of this social changing. People have changed not only mental thoughts but also physical behaviors. Participated in this trend, even the clothing style becomes transparent, too. It has become a world fashion to wear underwear outside, which might evoke serious social argument in the past decades in Taiwan. It was not even welcomed to perform this ten years ago. This shows that people living in Taiwan nowadays are confident enough to express themselves towards others. They are not afraid. They welcome strangers to join their lives at will. This changing in Taiwan must be one of the side effects of Internet, which makes Taiwanese people think and act openly and freely.

  1. 1. The example which you used in your article is very close to our life. God job! However, did the Wretch change people’s wearing style so much? Can you support your point?
    2. I think your examples of transparent trend are basically outside behaviors, although you mention that people have changed their mental thoughts, but I think that doesn’t mean they show their real characteristics. Is that really “transparent” relationship?
